Koy R. Killen
Koy Killen has been practicing law since 2001. He received his bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University and his law degree from the University of Texas School of Law. Mr. Killen has represented clients in hundreds of lawsuits, and concentrates his practice in the areas of complex civil and commercial litigation, real estate litigation, business torts, probate litigation, civil appeals, contract representation and negotiation, premises liability, and debt collection. Mr. Killen also represents clients in serious personal injury and wrongful death cases. Koy Killen has successfully served as lead counsel in numerous jury and bench trials, with extensive experience taking and defending depositions and arguing a wide array of motions at hearings in court. Mr. Killen has also successfully represented numerous clients in cases seeking and resisting claims for injunctive relief. Throughout his career, Mr. Killen has effectively used his knowledge of the law and abilities in the courtroom to yield successful results for his clients.
Koy Killen is active in the legal community. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas, Tarrant and Johnson County Bar Associations, Co-Founder and former Chairman of Tarrant County Bar Association Energy Section, former Chairman of the Tarrant County Bar Association Continuing Legal Education Committee, and is a member of the Johnson County Bar Association. Mr. Killen also served on the City of Burleson Planning and Zoning Commission. Koy Killen has been repeatedly recognized by Super Lawyers, a publication of Thomson Reuters Corporation published in Texas Monthly Magazine (Texas Rising Star). Mr. Killen has also been consistently recognized as a Top Attorney by Fort Worth Magazine.
